Presented by the Folk Legacy Trio
The Folk Legacy Trio has been hailed as “the living library” of music of the great folk era, delivering songs from the ’60s-’70s with their signature dynamic vocals and instrumental arrangements. Songs from The Kingston Trio, Peter Paul & Mary, The New Christy Minstrels, The Brothers Four, Judy Collins, Gordon Lightfoot, Simon & Garfunkel, John Denver, and many others. Blending history and humor, they have received accolades from venues across the country of “BEST SHOW EVER.”
Jerry sang with the famous Dapper Dans barbershop quartet at Disneyland parks in California, Florida and Japan. He sang with a Celtic band for a decade before joining the legendary doo-wop group The Diamonds, the ground-breaking group that recorded Little Darlin’ and American Bandstand favorite The Stroll.
Rick has written dozens of songs, arranged for vocal groups and even directed opera (only under duress, he says). He first hit the international stage with his ringing tenor voice as Glenn Yarbrough’s replacement in The Limeliters for thirteen years, and then moving over to join The Kingston Trio for twelve years.
George went from being a background picker at The Grand Ole Opry almost directly into a forty-one year career as banjo player extraordinaire with The Kingston Trio.
These three gentlemen now bring their talents together to present the very best music of the folk era, with songs by The Kingston Trio, Peter Paul & Mary, The New Christy Minstrels, Judy Collins, Gordon Lightfoot, The Mamas & The Papas, Simon & Garfunkel, John Denver, and many others. The Folk Legacy Trio brings to life this golden age with their beautiful harmonies and the exciting music of the great folk era.
